Following the widespread usage of the open source GeoIP library he developed, TJ Mather established MaxMind in 2002. As president and founder, he oversees the development of MaxMind's geolocation and fraud detection services.

Prior to starting MaxMind, Mr. Mather was a Senior Software Engineer at Longitude, a derivative and financial risk management provider, CTO of AnIdea, an intellectual property exchange startup, and an Analyst with the Quantitative Strategies Group at Goldman Sachs.

Mr. Mather graduated with high honors in Mathematics and Computer Science from Princeton University.
