Open Proxy Overview
Fraudsters often use open and anonymous proxies when making a fraudulent transaction because it
allows them to hide their true location. We have noticed that around 26% of the fraudulent
transactions that are passed through our service come from open proxies [more details]. However, some legitimate orders
come from open proxies often because the user's computer has been unknowingly infected by
a virus that allows spammers and credit card hackers to hijack their computer.
