Corrections we do not accept
MaxMind does not guarantee that any data correction will be accepted. All data correction requests are reviewed by our Correction Team and considered against multiple data sources.
Typically, we do not accept the following corrections:
- If you are attempting to correct your own IP address, it may be frequently reallocated or shared with other people who are spread out over a large geographic area. Learn more about how we handle these situations as they relate to geolocation accuracy on our knowledge base.
- Our databases provide the location of the end users of an IP address or range. This may not correspond to the WHOIS country. Learn more about registered_country data points in our knowledge base.
- We do not provide geolocation for certain IP addresses:
- Anycast IP addresses. (Learn about Anycast IP addresses on our Knowledge Base.)
- IP addresses that are subject to a valid privacy request.
